Face to Face with Yo Yo Ma

Cellist Yo Yo Ma joined PBS correspondent Jeffrey Brown to talk about their lives, their college experiences, and the power of music, poetry and art at the Joel Coliseum for the Face to Face Speaker Forum. During their conversation, Ma interspersed his comments with playing on his cello, at one point accompanying Brown as he read one of his poems.

An Unexpected Coda

At the end of his conversation with Brown, Ma asked members of the Wake Forest String Quartet to join him onstage. Wake Forest students Uzo Ahn, Alex Pleasant and Morgan Lyke came out and played with Ma, who raised his arms in joy at the end of the piece.
