Wake Foresters Gather in Wait Chapel

2021 Lovefeast

Members of the Wake Forest community gathered in Wait Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 5, for the 56th annual Lovefeast celebration. The community met on Hearn Plaza for tea and cookies, then listened to an exciting lineup of musical performances from Wake Forest and Winston-Salem State University groups. After this prelude, the worship service began, continuing with additional musical performances, readings, and reflections.

Choral Works

The Winston-Salem State Singing Rams and the Wake Forest Concert and Gospel Choirs performed under the direction of Christopher Gilliam, Joshua Brian Campbell and D'Walla Simmons-Burke.

Reflections and Readings

Giving readings from Scripture and personal reflections were The Rev. Dr. K. Monet Rice-Jalloh, Liz Orr, Peggy Beckman, President Susan R. Wente, The Rev. Victoria Lasley, The Rev. Dr. Timothy Auman, Michelle Zhan, Georgia McKee, Donald Stewart and Fr. Marcel Amadi.
