Wake Forest hosts ESPN College GameDay, Clemson

ESPN's popular College GameDay broadcast came to Wake Forest for the first time, as the Demon Deacons got ready to host the No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers. Although COVID-19 restrictions kept fans from witnessing the broadcast in person, Wake Forest hosted several events to help share the excitement. On Friday, the Demon Deacon led the ESPN College GameDay tour bus around campus, stopping to meet students near the residence halls then heading to Truist Field.

Lighting Up the Sky

The Reynolds Building in downtown Winston-Salem was lit with gold lights, while the Deacons celebrated a virtual pep rally with real-life fireworks on Friday night.

Watch Party, Part 1

On Saturday morning, fans gathered at the fairgrounds to watch the College GameDay broadcast at the drive-in theatre. They decorated their cars, played cornhole, and a few brave souls tailgated in the steady drizzle.
