Wake Forest students celebrated the holidays with the Lighting of the Quad ceremony this week. University Chaplain Rev. Tim Auman spoke, and the Demon Divas were the first performers.
Minor Variation performed, then President Susan R. Wente flipped the switch to light the Christmas tree, the Hanukkah menorah and the luminaries around the quad.
Students began to light their candles as the ceremony progressed.
Chi Rho and the Melodeacs performed, then the students make a circle around the Quad with their candles.
President Wente joined the students in a large circle on Hearn Plaza for the end of the ceremony.
